THE STORY BEHIND OUR NAME - W HY IT'S SO IMPORTANT TO US
The Senita Cactus, along with the Senita Moth, is only found in the Sonoran Desert, and both only exist through mutualism. The cacti rely on the adult moth to pollinate for reproduction; and the moth larva rely on the cacti for food and shelter during their early life. If one species goes extinct, the other species will quickly go extinct as well - Here at Senita, we feel the relationship between us, and our clients is just as vital for our existence.
While founding this company and brainstorming possible business names, SENITA quickly became the obvious choice! It not only represents the view we hold about the absolute importance of strong relationships with our clientele; but it also represents the authentic fondness our founder holds for the desert, and its fragile ecosystem.
JD Holley, Founder of Senita Custom Woodworks, can often be heard explaining (with a laugh) that the desert, while a very harsh environment, is also a delicate balance between the harshness of the environment and the intricate life cycle that takes place amongst the many species of plants and animals within the desert - Much like daily life in the civilized busy rat-race we all live in.
